A day in the Life of An INdigo...

Indigo characteristics:
  •  Most Indigos were born in 1978 or later
  • Indigos are highly intuitive- they know what feels right to them and anything else is disruptive to their system.
  • They may have imaginary friends or see spirits: “dead” people, guides, angels, and/or extraterrestrial beings.
  • Indigos are very empathetic- they are sensitive to the feelings of others and sometimes pick them up and carry these energies with them. They are feelers rather than thinkers most of the time.
  •  They have a tendency to be anti-social and prefer to spend time alone or in fantasy play.
  • They are fascinated and easily bond with plants, animals, and crystals.
  • An indigo child bores easily and is sometimes fidgety or over excitable.
  • Because of their expanded perception, unusual creativity, and day dreaming behavior many are diagnosed as having Attention Deficit Disorder, and put on Ritalin as children
  • They always need to know WHY, especially why they are being asked to do something.
  •  They may be extremely emotionally sensitive including crying at the drop of a hat (no shielding) Or may be the opposite and show no expression of emotion (full shielding).
  • They have a burning desire to do something to change and improve the world.
  • They have strong intuition
  • They have had psychic experiences, such as premonitions, seeing angels or ghosts, out of body experiences, hearing voices.
  • They seek meaning in their life and understanding about the world
  • They may seek this through religion or spirituality, spiritual groups and books, self-help groups and books.
  • They have an innate sense of “oneness” and connectedness to all of creation. They get confused and disturbed when others don’t share their reality of "we are all one"
  • They have a high capacity for love, and therefore others may feel uncomfortable by their intensity.
  • All First wave Indigo's have what might be termed as “A Gift of Healing” ….whether it is making people feel better with their humor and wit, hands on healing, animal and plant healing, healing with music and tone, or healing with new “unproven” methods.. ·some of which are natural and need no external training for.
  • They feel very foreign to this planet and a very high percentage of Indigo's have been put on “Antidepressants” to make them appear “Normal” and fit in our society. This is just a temporary fix though, and only adds to their challenges
  •   Because of their feeling so “alien” here, many go through periods of severe grief, loneliness, and displacement·..and may turn to drugs, alcohol, or attempt suicide for a way out.
  • Lower body temperature than the norm
  • Hypersensitivity to sound, light, odors
  • Adversely affected by high humidity
  • May be electrically sensitive such as watches not working, electrical equipment malfunctioning and lights blowing out.

  •  They feel more than others. They cry when movies are sad and belly laugh when they are funny. Whatever emotion you are feeling in the current moment, you feel it fully. Indigo children have “advanced emotions.” They are so attuned to inner-self that every feeling that bubbles to the surface feels more potent than it does for others.
  • They struggled in school. While indigo children are highly intelligent, the way their mind works doesn’t conform to traditional ways of thinking. They don’t do well with rigid structure, because they don’t understand the need for it.
